Site Visit

To secure your place in the program, a $620 deposit is required on the standard system supply and install price. Your deposit will be held securely in the Endless Solar Community Trust Account.

The standard system supply and install will suit the majority of people, but depending on your needs and your particular home set up you may need a customised quote.

Once you have paid your $620 deposit, you will be assigned a listed number according to the point in time that your payment was received by Endless Solar.

When it is your turn in the queue, your plumber will contact you to arrange a time to visit the property. The plumber will evaluate your individual home to provide a definitive, customised quote for your fully installed Evacuated Tube solar hot water system.

Final Quote

Following your site visit, you will receive your Final Quote which displays the final balance required.

The balance on your Final Quote may be different to your Standard Quote, as it may have been customised to suit the needs of your particular installation. Your Final Quote will include the Standard Supply and Installation, plus any necessary variations that were identified during your plumber’s site visit.

The following describes some of the most common variations to the standard supply and installation:

Extra Copper Piping
Extra lengths of copper pipe are required if the total piping exceeds the maximum allowed 18m that will be provided as part of a standard install.

Piping Insulation
Extra lengths of insulation are required if the total piping exceeds the maximum allowed 18m that will be provided as part of a standard install.

General Power Outlet (GPO)
Installation of a new power point is required, when no existing electrical connection is available near the tank for the controller to be plugged into.

Extra Electrical
This is usually required when the position of the electric tank is to be moved. It is also needed when off peak power, a timer or a control switch is to be newly connected to the tank.

Roof Flashings
This is used to ensure a neat, tidy, weatherproof and leak-free finish in cases where the piping is plumbed through the roof.

Pipe Covering
This is used to hide piping insulation that is running down outer walls.

Sundries
This includes a range of small additions, such as (but not limited to) extra fittings, silicone, clamps, screws, sealing tape, gas, nuts and bolts.

Slab and Concrete
A concrete slab may need to be laid, to provide a stable level for the tank to stand on. This is usually required when the tank is to be installed in a new location.

Additional Labour
This is required when the plumber will require extra time to complete the installation. This will mostly be needed in circumstances such as (but not limited to) multiple storey homes, assembly and fixing of pitching frames, extra piping lengths and tank relocations.

Pitching Frames
Frames may be required if your roof has a low pitch or is flat.

Pump Upgrade
If there is a long piping distance between your tank and collector, a larger pump will be required to circulate the water around the flow and return system.

Alternate Systems
Customers have the option to downgrade/upgrade from the standard system configuration. They may choose to install a smaller storage tank, or go with an LPG instantaneous gas boost. They may also add extra components, such as pitching frames or more Evacuated Tubes. These changes are not included as part of the standard system supply and a new price will be allocated.

If you choose not to go ahead with your Final Quote, you will be refunded your deposit minus an $85 charge to cover admin fees. You will also be charged for any extra costs incurred by us in arranging your site visit and Final Quote, such as (but not limited to) fees for the plumber’s travel and time onsite.

Installation

Full payment of the balance on your Final Quote is required before your system can be ordered and your installation can commence. Once the full payment on a whole block of system orders has been received, your delivery and installation can be scheduled.

Installations will be scheduled according to your place in the queue, which is determined by the date that your full payment was received by Endless Solar. The sooner you pay your balance, the sooner we can install your system.

NOTE: The expected installation schedule may be affected by uncontrollable factors, such as weather.

Rebate Processing

After the installation is complete, you can apply for any eligible rebates. Endless Solar will supply guidance, advice, information and application forms for accessing rebates and RECs.
